Frequently asked questions

What makes TheCoatmakerCo different from other coat brands?

We focus on one category only - coats - and have mastered it over 40 years. We work directly with heritage mills, using high-end fabrics like wool-rich blends
(70%+ wool) and 100% cashmere. Combined with our 70,000-pattern library, our Istanbul factory, and herit

How many coats can you produce?

Our monthly production capacity is around 40,000 coats. However, every style is produced in limited quantities because we use only high-end fabrics. This
ensures exclusivity and avoids mass production.

How are your coats more affordable if you use premium fabrics?

By cutting out unnecessary costs such as fancy photo shoots, brick-and-mortar shops, and heavy overheads, we make luxury accessible. We also use Al
technology to streamline areas that don't affect craftsmanship but would otherwise inflate costs. This allows us to price our coats at around half the average
market retail price (AMRP), without compromising on quality.

What about cashmere?

Cashmere is at the heart of our most exclusive offering. All of our cashmere coats are made from 100% pure cashmere, sourced from heritage-rooted mills.
Unlike many brands that blend cashmere with cheaper fibers, we never dilute its quality. Even more, our retail price for cashmere coats is below the average
market price - making authentic luxury more accessible than ever, without compromising on craftsmanship or materials.

Are your products sustainable?

Yes. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do. We use responsibly sourced fabrics and focus on timeless design over fast trends. For us, sustainability also
means offering fair prices - because fashion that lasts should be accessible.

Where do you produce your coats?

All of our coats are crafted in our family-owned factories in Istanbul, where we have been producing for the world's leading fashion brands for decades. Every
garment carries our heritage of precision and tailoring excellence.

Can boutiques or retailers partner with TheCoatmakerCo?

Absolutely. We supply boutiques and retailers worldwide and can produce at any scale. With our large pattern archive, premium fabrics, and global shipping
strategy, we provide tailored solutions for independent shops as well as international retailers.

Do you follow seasonal trends?

No. We are not a fast-fashion brand. Our coats are designed to be timeless and wearable across climates. With our global approach, we sell 12 months of the
year in both hemispheres - nonstop. From London winters to Melbourne's May chills, we serve women wherever the season demands a coat.

Who are your competitors?

We don't compete with fashion brands. Our only competition is with ourselves - to continually deliver the best possible balance of top-level quality and fair
pricing. While others invest in branding and image, we invest in craftsmanship, heritage fabrics, and honest value for the consumer.
